The latest firmware release of ARC 1.4 has focused on customer experience and usability – with single anchor unit landing, PX4 moving landing and the launch of online web tools.
skyAnchor is pleased to announce a firmware update to our patented system for precision landing and tethering – Active Radar Cooperating (ARCTM) – which can be used on a static or moving platform/vehicle, including vessels at sea.
ARCTM firmware 1.4 includes:
- Single Anchor Unit Landing – up until this point skyAnchor has required 3 anchor units in a triangular formation to enable a precision autonomous landing. The release of 1.4 introduces the ability to need only one anchor unit, making the system more flexible for real-world applications. Single anchor unit landing currently has some limitations with range, so if this is of interest, please speak to a team member who can explain the options.
- PX4 Moving Landing – in addition to Ardupilot, skyAnchor now fully supports PX4 moving landing, giving our customers increased usability across flight controllers.
- Single Interface & Update – once the airside unit is connected to your flight controller, all configuration and updates can be done via that one external interface rather than having to connect directly to the airside unit, making fine tuning and firmware updates practical and simpler.
- Online Webtools – skyAnchor web tools are now available online for your convenience: https://tools.skyanchor.co/
ARC 1.4 continues to build on the reliability and stability of 1.3, ensuring that skyAnchor’s reliability is never compromised, and customers can depend on a safe ultra-reliable landing every single time.
